About Us
Our Philosophy
Since 1983, Conner, Lawrence & Rodney has guided clients to legal resolutions by combining knowledge and strength with compassion and caring.
We believe clients in legal disputes can reach the best resolution by making well informed decisions which reflect their circumstances, goals and values.
We help clients reach their goals by:
- Listening to our clients to hear their concerns and help them determine their long term objectives.
- Assisting our clients in gathering and understanding the factual and legal information needed for a well-informed decision.
- Working in partnership with our clients to find a resolution tailored to their individual circumstances.
Working with us
Our goal and commitment is to meet your legal objectives with services tailored to your problem, issue, or situation.
Normally our clients first contact us by phone and discuss the situation with a trained paralegal at no charge. If we think we can assist you in your case, we'll arrange a meeting with an attorney at our office for an initial consultation.
THE INITAL CONSULTATION
At the initial consultation, we can get acquainted and we can learn about your legal needs in depth. You can ask questions about our practice, how we work, and our experience. We can discuss ideas for options for your legal matter as well as potential fees and billing arrangements.
YOUR LEGAL TEAM
If we represent you in your case, one of our legal teams will work with you. Your legal team can include an attorney, a paralegal and a legal assistant. They will explain your legal rights and options, help you gather information, assist you in trying to reach a settlement, prepare for trial if necessary, and represent you in all contact with other attorneys and in court. All of our attorneys are members of the State and County Bar Associations.
BILLING
Most cases are handled on an hourly fee basis, ranging from $220 to $350 per hour for attorneys. In some cases, work on your case is also performed by paralegals at the rate of $100 per hour. When possible, we'll give you our best estimate of the amount of time your legal matter will require, as well as an estimate of costs. You'll be responsible for the costs associated with your case, including court fees, court reporter fees, process servers, investigators and experts.
Family law fees vary considerably depending upon the complexity of the case and the emotional and communication dynamics. Alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation or collaborative practice typically cost considerably less than litigation.
Since estate planning is an ongoing process through the stages of your life, costs can occur at various times. We offer you our time, consideration, advice, and understanding to reach the goal of ensuring that your wishes and plans for your family are carried out, both during your life and after. Our goal is to have your entire estate planning process, which can include the essential estate planning documents, funding a revocable trust, updating your plan on a yearly basis, and administering and carrying out your wishes after you die, cost less than a traditional will followed by probate.
While legal services can be expensive, we will do our part to keep your costs as low as possible, without compromising the quality of representation you receive.
